Update

I don't have a lot of time but I thought I would do a quick update.

I watched the soccer game last night, and USA lost, which was sad :( but it was fun to watch.  Oh well, now I am 100% for Germany.  GO DEUTSCHLAND!!!!!!  They play tonight and it should be a good game.

As far as eating goes, I have been doing well.  The bread here is so great and isn't chalenging at all.  But we had döner today, and I ate it but it was quite chalenging.  It didn't help that I saw them cook it and the giant thing of meat was dripping with fat :/  But, it didn't stop me from eating it, and it was pretty good.  And even though I know I have nothing to worry about, it is just a bit unsettling.  I just gotta get my mind off of it.  Other than that, the sweets and buttered sandwiches are the only problems, but I am dealing.  It feels good to get that out there, cause it shows me how irrational I am being...

Well, I guess I will stop this rambling post, and wish you all a great Sunday and rest of your week!

Scott

  4. yeahhhh, my first post will be "4:1", but I can say that I am reading your blog for so much longer.--> but felt afraid to comment because english isnt my native language.
I love your blog and you can be so proud that you had the döner!it isnt such a fast food thing when we think about it rationally: good bread, a lot of fresh(!!) veggies, some yogurt dressing and the powerful protein gift--> meat.I think its pretty healthy and it tastes so good, you deserve everything that makes you happy.
I hope you will have beer to--you have to, this is a law in this country ;)
dont deprive yourselfe from wonderful memories and experiences you will make during your trip.

I can only imagine how crazy berlin is celebrating this game today, wohooo, I am living about 800 km away from berlin (south of germany) and we loved to watch this beautyful game.

there are so many things you have to do during your time in germany and I am exicted to hear about your adventures.

    xx lotta

  6. I am rooting auch für Deutshland!
Ich liebe Deutsche Speisen! Es ist gut das du are challenging yourself. Don't let ED keep you back; you would end up regretting it. Instead, keep taking this time to live as recovered a life as possible. I am rooting for you!!! And you seem to be fairing well so far!

  7. I just started reading your blog, and I have to say how impressed I am with the obstacles you're facing and how well you are dealing with them. I went to Italy for a semester shortly after recovering from an ED, and while I was extremely anxiety-ridden initially, the joy of eating sciacatta bread (doused in oil) and gelato (daily) greatly surpassed forgoign these experiences. And, by the end of the term, i had actually lost weight eating fully fattening Italian food and had a much much better relationship with food. It was sort of life changing.

Enjoy enjoy enjoy! and keep posting :)

  8. yumm, love me some good bread!! I bet the food out there is so fresh! I'm a bit jealous, I must say. Enjoy every minute of it man, don't let ED spoil a single second! Besides, it'll help you peddle faster ;)
Do you get to ride a lot out there?

  9. It's awesome that buttered sandwiches are the most of your worries! Germany sounds amazing, and I'm so happy you're keeping ED away.

  10. Good for you for trying a Doner; I went to Germany and was too afraid to try this local treat. But if you look around there, hardly anyone is unhealthy, or at least what our ED says is "unhealthy" or "fat". It's nice to meet you through your blog!
